Five-piece Gioconda set combining an oily Red Chalk with dry Sepia Light and Sepia Dark for a full warm tonal range from one palette, plus black and white artificial charcoal pencils that extend that range into deep shadow and bright highlight, the white pencil working especially well on toned or dark paper. A paper blender softens transitions between tones for a unified, painterly finish rather than visible pencil strokes.
